Deep Creek is a deed-restricted unincorporated community in Charlotte County, north and west of the Peace River. Deep Creek consists of two sections, Section 20 to the north of Sandhill Boulevard, and Section 23 south of Sandhill. Each section has its own separate property owners association and deed restrictions. There is also a Deep Creek Civic Association that represents all Deep Creek residents.
All of Deep Creeks’ residential lots border on greenbelts, open spaces that are maintained by the property owners associations, and many of the homes are on freshwater lakes or canals. The Deep Creek Nature Preserve, on the northeastern edge of the Deep Creek community, is a 2,000-acre water conservation park offering a range of outdoor activities, including camping, fishing, and miles of hiking and equestrian trails.
Deep Creek is close to Port Charlotte and Interstate 75, making it convenient for shopping, dining, and a variety of recreational and business activities. The Deep Creek Golf Club is a semi-private golf club that offers a challenging course with meandering waterways and bunkers.
